Life Beads

When I was in Uganda, Africa I had the opportunity to visit the women who make Life Beads.

Life beads is a business built to equip women to have an opportunity to improve their lives and community by making and selling the handmade paper jewelry.

They hand make each piece of jewelry then ship them to the United States to be sold.

I was astounded by the many stories of war, abandon, death and struggles these women have been through. As I sat and watched them pour their energy into the tedious work of making each individual bead, I was amazed and blessed to be able to know such strong women.

I knew in that moment, I wanted to do as much as I could to share with the world the beauty and wonder of the Ugandan culture and the opportunity to support these hardworking women. After many months of being back home in Indiana, I finally have had the opportunity to do just that!

Last week, I received a box with hundreds of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings in so many beautiful colors, each handmade by my Ugandan friends. I’m excited to share that I’m selling these to anyone interested! Every penny goes back into the ministry to continue supporting these wonderful ladies.
